Women are the instrument for the growth and development of the nation. They constitute a vital part of society. Education is indispensable for the all round development of women. Government has initiated efforts to establish an exclusive girl’s college in the field of higher education. It was the dream of Uttarakhand government to make women self-reliant so that they could contribute for the development and growth of society. It is collaborated efforts to elevate the status of women in society.
Rani Dharm Kunwar Government Degree College is established at Dallawala on 13th October, 2015. This institution is situated 8km away from Khanpur block of Haridwar district, 21 km away from Laksar railway station and 106 km far from Dehradun, capital of Uttarakhand .This college is affiliated to Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Badshahithal, Tehri, Garhwal. In 2021, Govt. of Uttarakhand declare this institution as co-education. From session 2022-23 both boys and girls can take the advantage of higher education.
